About

A Legacy Built in Tile

“The little details are what make the difference between a tile setter and a tile craftsman.” That was one of the first lessons Cameron learned from his father, a tile craftsman with more than 40 years in the trade. It's also the idea behind TSE Legacy Tileworks & Design. The name Legacy is intentional. So is TSE. TSE stands for Tile Setters Extraordinaire, the name Cameron's father gave his own tile business decades ago. Today, TSE Legacy Tileworks & Design carries that name forward, along with the knowledge, standards, and craftsmanship passed from father to son.

Cameron Ramsey

From Helper to Legacy Tile Craftsman

Cameron grew up around the tile trade and placed his first tile at just two years old. At 15, he earned his first paycheck working as his father's helper.

Years later, Cameron and his father moved to Colorado and went into business together. For roughly three years, Cameron apprenticed under his father, learning the trade from the ground up. He started with the fundamentals—preparation, mixing, cutting, grouting and cleaning—before progressing into layout, setting, and eventually leading installations of his own.

Over the following years, Cameron built more than 12 years of professional experience across residential remodeling, custom homes, and commercial installations.

His foundation comes from traditional tile craftsmanship, including mud work, proper preparation, careful layout, and an understanding that a finished installation is only as good as what's underneath it. Today, he combines that old-school foundation with modern waterproofing systems, materials, and installation methods.

The tools and methods continue to evolve. The standard doesn't.

Discuss a Project

More Than Setting Tile

To Cameron, there's a difference between a tile setter and a tile craftsman:

A tile setter sticks tile to things. A tile craftsman builds tile products.

A custom shower isn't simply tile attached to walls. It's a complete assembly—substrate, slope, waterproofing, layout, tile, grout, transitions, and finish work—all working together.

Custom showers, including mud shower pans and modern waterproofing systems, are Cameron's primary specialty. But his passion is layout: complex patterns, difficult transitions, balanced cuts, symmetry, and finding the right starting point.

As his father taught him: “Trust your line.”

The Legacy Standard

TSE Legacy Tileworks & Design is independently operated, and Cameron personally handles each project from the initial consultation and layout planning through installation and final details.

Every installation is approached with the same fundamentals Cameron was taught: build on a proper foundation, plan before setting, keep the work straight, and give the finished details the same attention as everything underneath them. That's the Legacy Standard.

When specialized work requires a licensed trade, such as certain plumbing or electrical work, qualified professionals may be brought in for that portion of the project. The tile work and the standard behind it remain Cameron's responsibility.

Qualifying installations are backed by a limited lifetime labor warranty, because tile shouldn't simply look good when the project is finished. It should be built with the intention of lasting.

Faith & Values

Cameron's Christian faith is the foundation for how he strives to live, work, and conduct his business. That means treating people honestly and fairly, keeping his word, taking responsibility for his work, and serving each customer with respect.

These principles guide the way Cameron approaches his customers, his work, and the responsibility that comes with both.

TSE began with one tile craftsman. Legacy is about carrying what he taught forward.

Limited Lifetime Labor Warranty

Our workmanship is backed by a limited lifetime labor warranty on qualifying installations. It's a practical extension of the philosophy behind the business: tile shouldn't simply look good when the project is finished. It should be built with the intention of lasting.
